Reflip Is More Than Just a Club. It’s a Way of Life.
We are a group of people brought together by one shared passion — our love for the river, adventure, and the freedom to be ourselves.
For us, rafting and kayaking are more than just sports. They’re experiences that words can hardly describe. The adrenaline of the rapids, the roar of the water, the power of the current, and that incredible moment when you feel truly alive.
We don’t run from the current. We dive straight into it.
We challenge ourselves, face our fears, fall, get back up, and keep going. Because the river is more than just a place for adventure. It’s our greatest teacher — teaching us courage, respect, trust, and teamwork.
Over the years, Reflip has grown into something much bigger than a rafting and kayaking club. It has become a community of friends, adventurers, and people who share the same passion.
And the best part? Everyone who joins us has the chance to become part of our story.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re holding a paddle for the very first time or already know every rapid by heart. What matters is your sense of adventure, a smile on your face, and the willingness to try something new.
Reflip is energy.
Reflip is friendship.
Reflip is freedom.
Reflip is like the river — powerful, wild, and unforgettable.
Reflip your day!

Instructors
Extreme and Adventure Sports
Every year, hundreds of adventure seekers join us for safe, adrenaline-filled rafting experiences on the rivers of Bulgaria and across the Balkan Peninsula. We have also organized and led expeditions throughout Europe, Africa, South America, Central America, and North America.
Our mission
Promoting Paddlesports
Children are our future. For the past 20 years, we have been dedicated to making rivers and other bodies of water accessible to young people, promoting an active sporting culture, and building lasting traditions in paddlesports.

Causes & Initiatives
Balkan River Defence
– Protect Europe’s remaining free-flowing rivers.
– Expose the unsustainable management of hydropower in Bulgaria and its use as a front for money laundering and profiteering by individuals connected to Bulgaria’s post-communist transition, in violation of both legal and ethical principles.
– Promote sustainable alternatives through science, education, and sport.
– Support networks of local river activists and environmental organizations.

Спаси Кресна / Save Kresna
- We support the construction of the Struma Motorway outside the Kresna Gorge, not through it.
- We believe that improving road infrastructure should go hand in hand with protecting the gorge’s unique biodiversity, natural habitats, and the Struma River.
- Our position is clear: Build the motorway outside the gorge. Preserve the river, protect nature, and keep Kresna Gorge wild.
Clean Bulgaria
For over 20 years, we have been organizing river and reservoir clean-up initiatives across Bulgaria, including the Struma and Iskar rivers, as well as the Ognyanovo and Pancharevo reservoirs. Our mission is to protect Bulgaria’s waterways and preserve their natural beauty for future generations.
Let’s Teach Children to Love Rivers
We organize educational programs for children living in flood-prone areas along the Struma River. We cannot make rivers completely safe, but we can share our knowledge and experience to help young people better understand the risks, stay safe around water, and develop respect for the power of nature.
Water Rescue
Rescue courses
Education is the best way to prevent accidents. As climate change increases the risk and frequency of flooding, raising awareness and teaching children about river safety has become more important than ever.
In Fast-Flowing Water
One of the greatest benefits of rafting, kayaking, and river sports is that they build physical strength and endurance, develop quick problem-solving skills, and teach the importance of teamwork — even when navigating the most challenging rapids, both on the river and in life.
Giving Back to the Community
For the Sake of Every Child
We organize safe, supervised water activities at Pancharevo Reservoir for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and children with special needs, giving them the opportunity to experience the joy of water sports in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Rafting education
The main purpose of these videos is to provide firsthand information about the river, water safety, and the sport of rafting.
Bringing these videos to life required the dedication and combined efforts of numerous experts and volunteers. Filming took place at various locations, carefully selected to capture the right conditions and showcase the sport of rafting in the best possible way.
Kayak courses
Our kayaking courses take place on the Struma River — the birthplace of whitewater kayaking in Bulgaria. Its diverse rapids provide the perfect environment to learn, develop, and master essential kayaking skills.
The courses are led by Ivan Tangui from France and Borislav Paunovski from Bulgaria, experienced instructors who are always eager to share their knowledge, inspire new paddlers, and pass on their passion for this incredible sport.
Sports
Bulgarian Rafting Federation
Reflip Sports Club is a founding member of the Bulgarian Rafting Federation (BRF) and actively contributes to the organization of National and European Rafting Championships in Bulgaria.
Rafting teams
Our men’s, women’s, and youth teams have consistently dominated competitions whenever Reflip has participated. Since 2009, our athletes have proudly represented Bulgaria at World Rafting Championships, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport on the international stage.
