With the constant rainfall in Southern Bulgaria we expected high water. But when we arrived at Struma, we were fascinated by the water cubes in the river. There were nearly 200 cubic meters that day. We quickly equipped ourselves with dry suits, inflated a shelf, kayaked and set off for the start.
Rafting and kayaking on such water is not to be underestimated. Most rapids are flat and everything ends quickly, but there are a few areas where the adrenaline rises sharply. The Matrix Rapids, 358 / The Washing Machine, The Stone with the Iron, 2/4, the Cauldron and the Long Rapper are worth every effort. We had guys with a lot of experience in the team and no one was afraid of the water.
